PRESS: Russian Helicopters to merge Mil, Kamov bureaus till 2022
MOSCOW, Oct 11 (PRIME) -- Russian Helicopters plans to merge its Mil and Kamov design bureaus into a single national center of helicopter manufacturing until 2022, Vedomosti business daily reported on Friday quoting Russian Helicopters’ Deputy CEO Mikhail Korotkevich.
“They plan to finish the merger until mid-2020, while integrational processes and optimization of operation will continue until 2022,” Vedomosti reported quoting Korotkevich, who spoke with the business daily through a representative.
The merger should allow Russian Helicopters, the country’s only producer and designer of helicopters, to simplify exchange of technical solutions and advancements that is difficult now due to security restrictions and to a sophisticated procedure for the transfer of rights for intellectual property. Stuff reduction will only happen for the administrative and management personnel, while the amount of designers within the national center will increase, the business daily said.
